He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Fruend and Julia Fruend (Sanovich); and his siblings, William Freund, Virginia Hellrigel and Marie Zani.
He is survived by: his sisters, Caroline Hackenberg of Benwood and Julie Froble of Florida; and his close friend Matt Schmidt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
