It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn A. DeMatte of Bridgeport, Ohio, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carolyn A. DeMatte to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Strauss and Caroline Strauss (Supan); her husband Charles F. DeMatte; her daughter Carole Zarotney; and her siblings, Mary Gertscher, Joseph Strauss and Louis Strauss.
She is survived by: her son-in-law John Zarotney of DeWitt, MI; and her children, David DeMatte (Ellen) of Temecula, CA and Joan Vavra (John) of St. Clairsville.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (218 W Main St, St Clairsville, OH 43950). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at the St. Anthony's Cemetery.
