He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wallace "Ray" Bailey and Wanda "Lou" Boggs. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughters, Machelle Maxwell (Rick) and Kimberly Bailey (Ricky Steele); his grandchildren, Bambi Ewing, Cecelia McIntyre (Craig), Brandon Bailey (Haley), Monique Bailey and Kaley Childs; his sister Norma Cline; his nephew Ronald Cline; and his sister-in-law Sandra Bailey.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to Hospice in Dad's memory.
