He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold William Sheets and Eudella Pearl (Ballinger); his wife Melba Fern Sheets (Sipos); his son Shawn Michael Sheets; and his great grandchild Videl Corp.

He is survived by : his daughters, Cheryl Lynn Sheets (Andrew F. Boring) and Rebecca Marie Chandler (Christopher); his siblings, James W. Sheets, Jacqueline Rose Thompson and Ruth Ann Duvall; his grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, Jason Sheets, Isaac, Isaiah, Alexander Chandler and Jaimee Berry; and his great grandchildren, Tony, Kayliegh, Janae, James and Milo.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home (124 Fort St, Bremen, OH 43107). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Avlon United Brethren in Christ Church (11010 Avalon Rd NE, Rushville, OH 43107).
