He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Howdyshell and Dora Howdyshell (Householder); his son Mark; his son-in-law Ronnie Huston; his grandson Andy Mason; his siblings, Frank (Onalee), Carl, Zelda Howdyshell, Beulah Hull (Albert), Dorothy Morgan (Homer), Rozella Sherlock (Austin) and Emma Howdyshell; and his brother-in-law Bob Grimm.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lois Haines; his children, Lois Huston, Nina Stoltz (Rod), Beth Schultz (Rod), Judy Mason (Tim), Lori Osborn (Ron) and Alvin Howdyshell (Rochelle); and his sisters, Wanda Grimm and Nellie Morgan (Bob). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
