He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest L. Ellenberger and Elsie E. Ellenberger; his stepmother Janette Ellenberger; his brother Robert Ellenberger; and his former wife Arlene.

He is survived by: his wife Susan "Sue"; and his children, Karen Maxwell (David), Allison Ellenberger, Gramps, Evelyn and Henry Maxwell.
