She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Petersen and Jean C. Petersen; her brother James Petersen; and her stepson Adam Sims. She is survived by: her significant other Mark Sims; her stepdaughter Kelly Horter (Sims); her siblings, John M. (Kerry), Jack B. and Jill K. Petersen; and her grandchildren, Julia, Owen and Lili Horter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
