He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Sloan and Freda Sloan of Brady Lake, Ohio.; and his brother James "Jim" Sloan of Mauldin, SC.. He is survived by: his wife Hester Sloan; his children, Gary E. Sloan (Kay) of Peachtree City, GA, Karen Revels (Shane), Renee Dearybury (Dean) and Cindy Anderson (Jeff) of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew, Kayla, Piper, Clayton, Audrey (Chris), Regan, Jordan, Blake (Catlyn) and Jade (Tyler); his caregivers, Angela, Hope and Amber; and his niece Kay. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
