He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick J. McDermott and Harriet J. McDermott (Burrows); and his sister Minnie McDermott. He is survived by: his wife Karla K. Hunter (Hale); his children, Angela Contreras (Oscar), Michael Hunter of Fostoria and Levi McDermott of Bradner; his grandchildren, Kody, Jared, Madelyne Nyler, Oakley, Kelsey Contreras, Sabrina Johnson, Sam McDermott, Luke Jacobs, Levi McDermott, Mazlyn Wilder, Natalie, Johnathan and Tiffany Swartz; and his sisters, Jean Hopper, Kathy Stahl (James) and Roberta Moore.
