He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Goings and Ruth Goings (Wackler); his wife Mary Goings; his daughter Brandy Spencer; and his siblings, Arthur Goings and Marie Beam.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Goings, Jr. of Springfield, Bart Goings (Anne) of Troy and Brad Goings (Jennifer) of Blue Springs, MO; his son-in-law Clay Spencer of Bradford; and his grandchildren, Ashley Goings of Christiansburg, VA, Layne Johnston (Andrew) of Troy, Michael Goings of Jackson, SC, Aaron Goings (Heidi) of Independence, MO, Megan Garten of Lee's Summit, MO, Ian Goings of Blue Springs, MO, Fischer Spencer of Bradford and Scout Spencer of Bradford. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
