He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Sanders and Tenia Sanders (Patterson); his wife Maxine Sanders; his grandson Gary Smith; his son-in-law Dean Shafer; and his siblings, Glen Sanders (Patty) and Betty Fraze Kueterman.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Shafer, Joyce (Darrell Marshall), Annie (Edsel Gregg), Georgia (John Hartzell) and Rick (Connie Sanders); his grandchildren, Mindy (Tom Storrie), Ron (Angie Shafer), John (Jeanette Marshall), Julie (Bill Covault), Shelly (Clint Gasson), Kelly (Nick Hansen), Jim Smith, Brenda (Kent Canan), Randy Hartzell, Bob (Charlene Hartzell), Rick (Joann Sanders), Russ (Aleisha Sanders) and Jennifer (Aaron Flora); and his siblings-in-law, Max Subler (Linda), Bob Kueterman and Sharon Black. He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dayton VA Hospice or the Shriners.
