He was predeceased by: his father Elmer Gibbs; his wife Frances Jean Heller; his daughter Robin; his grandson Casey; and his sisters, Donna Schadenfroh, Verna Brown and Ruth Hanei.
He is survived by: his children, Dee Niles of Swanton, Terri Henning of Bowling Green and Richard Gibbs of Lexington, KY; his children-in-law, Tim and Jody; his grandchildren, Miranda, Lauren, Collin, Nicole and Christian; his great grandchildren, Tierra, Emma, Branden, Kara, Lenna and Presley; and his siblings, Gordon Gibbs and Joan Zink.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Wood County Humane Society.
