He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nelson and Grace Nelson; his wife Judith Anne Nelson; his son Matthew Nelson; and his brother Richard "Dick" Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Hoyt Nelson (Laura) of Grafton, Laura Adams (Gary) of Maumee, Michael Nelson (Michelle) of Tecumseh, Theodore Nelson (Patricia) of Monroe Falls, Michelle Prand (Tim) of Perrysburg, Barnaby Nelson (Dessie) of Gibsonton, Alicia Leonard (Joe) of Holland, Nicolle Woolaver (Nick) of Norwalk and Shaina McDermott (Patrick) of Bowling Green. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas's memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Toledo Botanical Garden.
