He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Missy Hurin (Jude) of Reno, Mike Shaner of Lambertville, Melanie McColgan (Michael) of Reno, Amy Gorr (Jason) of Ottawa Lake and David Shaner (Mindy) of Highland Ranch; his stepsons, Allen G. Holder (Leanne) of Terra Haute and John Holder (Shiela) of Madison; his sisters, Nancy Otley (Dick) of Bowling Green and Jeanne Wilson (Bruce) of Comstock Park; and his grandson Jonathan Gilbert Mendoza. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Toledo Area Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
