He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Fortney. He is survived by: his mother Marylou Fortney (Heising); his former wife Pamela O'Neill; his wife Pam; his sons, Matthew Fortney (Alexis Rose) of Indianapolis, Jordan Fortney (Emily) of Pittsburgh and Logan Fortney (Julie Kohn) of Columbus; his granddaughter Palmer Kate Fortney; and his siblings, Roger Fortney of Concord, Michael Fortney (Holli) of Maumee, Peg Bucksky of Grand Rapids and Steve Fortney (Alice) of Bowling Green. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given in Ken's memory to the Bobcat Booster Club.
