She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Thomson and Evelyn Thomson (Katon); her spouse Leiland Gaines; her daughters, Rhonda Doren of Perrysburg and Jaci Gaines of Bowling Green; her grandchildren, Drake, Teagan, Trevor, Van, Brianna, Stephanie and Shannon; her brothers, James Thomson (Rae) of Bowling Green and John Thomson of Grand Rapids; and her pet Lucy.

Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Wood County Dog Shelter or the Wood County Humane Society.
