He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardie DeSmith and Betty DeSmith; and his brother Paul DeSmith. He is survived by: his sisters, Loreli Espen of Bowling Green and Kathy Hafner of Bowling Green; his sister-in-law Rosemary DeSmith of Custar; and his pet D. John. He is also survived by many many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in John's honor may be gifted to the Wood County Humane Society.
