Jody Michael Swoap Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jody Michael Swoap of Bowling Green, Ohio, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rex, June Rogers, Ethan and Hazel Swoap; and his stepfather John Dickenson.

He is survived by: his parent Janet Tezel (Rogers) of Orewa; his wife Suzanne Swoap (Youngpeter); his daughters, Kennedy and Elliana Brown; his stepfather Hasan Tezel; his siblings, Jake Swoap (Karlyn) of Perrysburg, Ohio, Jaimee Durham (Ian) of Auckland and Jayde Johnson (Matt) of Buffalo; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Alec, Ty, Drew Swoap, Charlie Swoap, Alexis, Cullen Durham and Amber Johnson. He is also survived by father figure to their daughters and 7-year-old foster son.

The family requests that those in attendance wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be gifted to the family.
