He was predeceased by: his father Don Swerlein. He is survived by: his children, Jacquelyn Ellis, Jeremy Thompson (Ruth), Jamie Thompson, Chris Williams and Nicole Dauterman (Mike); his sister Shirley Swerlein; and his grandchildren, Jonah, Ariel, Hunter, Alexa, Emma, Sway, Kensey and Madison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jan's family to assist with medical expenses.
