He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Schwind and Shirley Schwind (Dyer). He is survived by: his wife Margaret Schwind March (Tavernier); his children, Rob Schwind (Sarah) of Grand Rapids and Lisa Schwind Busch (Terry) of Bowling Green; his grandchildren, Kyle, Nick and Tyler; and his siblings, Richard Schwind, Pat Dewyer, Sue Hoehn, Connie Philo and Shelly Graham.

Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to Disabled Veterans or First Baptist Church.
