He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jack Thomson and Evelyn Thomson (Katon); his spouse Rae Bullis; his close friends, Diane and Gary Carpenter; his daughters, Staci and Courtney; his granddaughter Kate; his siblings, John of Grand Rapids and Kathy; his brothers-in-law, Lee Gaines and Don Bullis (Gloria) of New Mexico; and his nieces, Jodi, Beth, Jaci and Rhonda.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Parkinson's Foundation, First Christian Church or Dare to Dream in care of Wood Haven.
