He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Mercer and Mabel Mercer (Reber); his wife Velma Crawford; and his siblings, Helen, Leon and Dick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sue Knauss (Denny) and Carol Sander (Ken); his grandchildren, Kelly Robinson (Brian), Josh Knauss (Amy), Zak Knauss (Courtney), Neil Sander (Chrissy) and Ashlee Amspaugh (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Logan (Julia), Oaklee Householder, Kylee, Tyler, Quinn Knauss, Lia, Luca Sander, Addie, Eli and Anna Amspaugh.
