He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kania and Rosemary Kania (Sturtz); and his stepbrother Ronald Saunders. He is survived by: his wife Lois Kania (Wind); his former husband Jay Cook; his children, Christopher Kania and Sara Flores (Javier); his siblings, Rosanne Tussing (Thomas), David Kania (Patricia), Bowling Green, Steve Kania (Deborah) and Thomas Kania (Sheri); his stepmother Wilma Kania; his stepbrothers, Paul Saunders (Sandra) and Dan Saunders (Barbara); and his sister-in-law Carmen Saunders. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and step nieces and nephews.
