He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Lowrie and Blanche Lowrie (Sager); and his stepfather Richard Estes. He is survived by: his children, Shawna and David; and his siblings, Patti Knight, Mary Lou Hintz (David), John Lowrie (Donna), Aaron Estes, Amy Pauken (Mark) and Andrea Villanueva (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in David's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
