He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mears and Mary Jane Mears (Kidd). He is survived by: his wife Lin (Stiles); his children, Jesse Mears of Huber Heights and Diedre Mears of Gresham; and his brothers, D. J. Mears (Jackie) and Don Mears (Connie).
