She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mason and Evella Mason (Coates); and her brother John Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Denise Kornegay; her grandchildren, Sharlie James and Jeffrey (Ivy Leslie); and her great grandchildren, Charlese James, Joy Jean, Journi Denise and Iylah Leslie.
Contributions in her honor may be gifted to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
