He was predeceased by: his parents, Higinio Gonzales and Francisca Gonzales (Ruiz); and his siblings, Oscar, Ray, Arnulfo, Bob, Lala and Carol.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Maldonado; his children, Fred Gonzales, Jr., Art Gonzales and Annette Hammer; and his siblings, Joe, Elias, Olivia, Frances and Alma.
