He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Hughes and Linda Dotson Hughes; and his brothers, Edward Wayne Hughes and Scott Anthony Hughes. He is survived by: his stepmother Patricia Hughes of Caldwell, Ohio; and his stepsiblings, Mary Michel of Summerfield, Regina Stitzlein of Ashland, Ohio and Locklear of Macksburg, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
