It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elwood Prueter of Botkins, Ohio, born in New Knoxville, Ohio, who passed away on May 23, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, August Prueter and Bertha Prueter (Duhme); his spouse Jean Hurlburt; his son Steve Prueter; and his siblings, Earl Prueter, Naomi Howe, Paul Prueter, Jim Prueter, Irma Hoelscher, Don Prueter and Ruby May Prueter.
He is survived by: his children, Ted Prueter (Pam) of Ada, Mike Prueter (Joanie) of Botkins and Lynda Prueter of Botkins; and his sister Nancy Bambauer (Wayne) of New Knoxville. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9:00-11:00 A.M. on Monday at the church, where memorial donations may be given to the Blue Jug at the church to support missions work.
