He is survived by: his children, Mike Schmerge (Janet), Shirley Webb (Kenneth), Sidney, Teresa Foster (late Johnny) of Lexington, KY and Debra Caldwell (Chris) of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Jason Schmerge (Amanda), Dana Bailey (Ryan), Jamie Pandya (Jay), Dustin Schmerge (Theresa), Meranda Mammone (Chris), Melissa Reid (Joshua), Janessa Stauffer, Ryan, Megan Foster and Zachary Caldwell (Nadia); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Samuel Schmerge, Mackenzie, Brennan Bailey, Kaleb, Tyler, Andrew, Sarah, Faith Schmerge, Chance, Emma Mammone, Austin Wise, Savannah Reid, Joshua Reid, Jr., Gabriel Mendez, Selena Stauffer, Lukas Caldwell and Timmy Thompson.
