Catherine A. Schmerge Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine A. Schmerge of Botkins, Ohio, who passed away on February 22, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George H. Schmerge; her daughter-in-law Norma Schmerge; her grandson Terry Schmerge; her siblings, Alfred Steinke, Joe Steinke (Christine), Francis Steinke and Rita Tebbe (Lawrence); and her siblings-in-law, Jim Pauley, Ed Beeman, Lawrence Schmerge, Catherine Curtis, Gertie Curtis and Caroline Schmerge.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Schmerge of Botkins, Carol Schlueter (Thomas) of Wapakoneta, John Schmerge (Joyce) of Fort Loramie, Joe Schmerge (Kriss) of Wapakoneta, Leonard Schmerge (Kecia) of Wapakoneta, Leo Schmerge (Julie) of Botkins and Gary Schmerge (Darcy) of Botkins; her grandchildren, Paul, Peggy, Linda, Dale, Daniel, Barbara, Gregory, Alisha, Billy, Michelle, Justin, Matt, Tracy, Ryan, Brad, Doug, Andy, Tyler, Brent and Kaitlyn; her siblings, George Steinke (Judy) of Wapakoneta and Mary Pauley of Galion; her sisters-in-law, Amelia Beeman of Piqua, Erma Steinke of Wapakoneta and Janie Steinke of Uniopolis; and her family Catherine. She is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren.
