He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Gratz and Caddie Gratz (Cook); his brother Richard Gratz; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Gratz, Thelma Bucher, Anna Ruth Troxel and John V. Bucher.
He is survived by: his wife Dortha Bridenbaugh Gratz; his children, Jane Holliday (Jim Pickett) of Ft. Wayne, Tony Gratz (Joyce) of Bluffton and Nancy Bolka (Bill) of Muncie, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Christian Gratz (April), Daniel Gratz (Joanna), Nick Holliday (Emily), Rachel Kline (Jeremy), Robert Bolka (Teresa), Sgt. Nathan Bolka and Karaline Bolka; and his brother-in-law Dan Troxel.
