She was predeceased by: her mother Glenna Hanna (Stewart); her husband E. Elwood James; and her sister Delores Moyer. She is survived by: her father Waldo Hanna; her children, Carol Steegman of Arlington, Kurtis James (Mary) of Jenera and Matthew James of Findlay; her grandchildren, Jamie Steegman, Mackenzie James (Tyler Snyder), Loryn Morton, Abbigail Falk (Brandon) and Morgan Lenhart (Dakota); her sister Carolyn May of Elyria, OH; her nephew Karl Moyer (Ann) of Anderson, IN; her sisters-in-law, Joanne Hawk of Findlay and Dorothy James of Dunkirk; and her friend Stephanie James. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and family.
