He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Fred Dawson and Georgia L. Dawson (Cowan); his former wife Dorothy Anspach; his grandson Seth McClintock; his son-in-law Duncan Sanders; his stepgrandson Joe Zeller; and his sister Jane Lamb.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Shuey (Tom) of Harrod and Sally Sanders of Harrod; his stepchildren, Burdette Winegardner (Sherri) of Lima, Brooks Winegardner (Lisa) of Bluffton, Brad Winegardner of Ada, Beth Ann Adame (Jesse) of Franklin, TN and Brenda Caprella (Andy) of Harrod; his grandchildren, Heath McClintock (Danielle) and Katie Sanders; his great grandchildren, Colton McClintock, Saira McClintock, Teddy Zeller and Noah Zeller; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley Zeller, Isaac Winegardner (Kelsey), Max Winegardner, Eli, Ian Spallinger, Schuyler, Chase, Gavin Caprella, Colton, Auston Ritson, Megan, Tyler Adame, Kristen Dekok and Morgan Koverman; and his brother Jack Dawson of Peoria, AZ..
