She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth J. Penhorwood; her parents, Edwina Somers and Francis Somers; her siblings, David Somers (Kathryn), Burton Somers (Frances) and Margaret Burget; and her brothers-in-law, David Boyd, Erwin Penhorwood (Ruth) and Donald Penhorwood (Betty).

She is survived by: her children, Scott Penhorwood (Beverly), Jill Staley (Matt) and Kathy McClintock (Keith); her grandchildren, Lynne Boyle (Dan), Scott Mondy (Melissa), Wade Penhorwood-Siytangco (Steven), Jon Penhorwood (Kate), Cameron Staley (Rachael), Rachel Foust (Kenny), Bethany Paschal (Paul) and Cale McClintock (Cordelia); her great grandchildren, Lex Boyle, Lainey Boyle, Trey Mondy, Lucy Mondy, Emory, Maci, Jake Staley, Claire, Gwyneth, Paul Foust, Kierney, Thatcher and Oren Paschal; her sister-in-law Phyllis Boyd; and her friend Ruth Boyd.
