She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Basinger and Irene Basinger (Fogelsonger); her husband Ivan Johnson; her brothers, Richard Basinger and Hubert Basinger; and her brother-in-law Ralph Dunifon.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Johnson (Ruth) of Bluffton and Ellen Core (Larry) of Bluffton; her grandchildren, Karen Core, Kathy Soper (Tim), Cindy Lee (Dennis), Angela Carr (Jacob) and Kaydrie Rayle (Eric); her great grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Carson Soper, Matthew Lee (Annette), Andrew Lee, Nicholas, Ethan, Emma Beach, Nathaniel and Haelee Rayle; her great great grandchild Gabriella Lee; her sister Ann Dunifon of Bluffton; and her sister-in-law Mabel Basinger of Bluffton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
