He was predeceased by: Carole. He is survived by: his wife Carole K. Dirks Hilty; his siblings-in-law, Marvin J. Dirks, Jr., Ruthann Cochran Dirks and Stanley J. Dirks; and his nieces, Rachel Dirks, Danielle Crisman, Erin Mathes and Emily Garvie.
