He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Caplinger and Edna Lucille Caplinger (Gordley); his wife Carolyn Caplinger (Robinson); his daughter Leesia Crabtree; and his brother William Taylor.
He is survived by: his daughter Amy Hall (Craig); his granddaughters, Kayla Cruea (Austin), Kalena Grooms (David), Hannah Webb (Brian) and Alyssa Bosier (Austin); and his siblings, Tom Caplinger (Della) and Shirley Young of West Union, OH. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
