He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Christian A. Kopf and Melba Kopf (Moennig); his wife Suzanne Geissler; his children, William Kopf of Bloomville and Jacquelyn Comer (Doug) of Tiffin; his grandsons, Landon Kopf of Bloomville, Wyatt and Everett Comer of Tiffin; his brother Peter Kopf (Lynn) of North Carolina; and his brother-in-law Bill Geissler of Pennsylvania. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
