He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Svarc Waldman Pozar; his wife Toots; his brothers, James and Joseph Waldman; his stepfather Joseph Pozar; and his stepbrothers, Joseph, James and Frank Pozar.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Jo Straus, Sherry Waldman and Edward, Jr.; his grandsons, Joshua Straus (Jessica), Noah Straus and Harm Rogman; his great grandchildren, Kati Jo, Kalli Rae, Cole Thomas and Declan Zane Straus; his stepsister Albiney H. Paolucci of Hinckley, OH; and his nephew Terry Fabry (Cecelia).
