He was predeceased by: his father Warren Kernen; and his siblings, Shelby "Tub" Kernen, Bonnie Stromack and Warren Kelton Kernen Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Neal Kernen (Melissa) of Wintersville and Paul Kernen (Jean) of Jewett; his grandchildren, Dakota, Noah, Zach, Keithan Woods, Remington Kernen and Skylar Wallace; and his sisters, Olive Shaw (Larry) of Rittman, Phyllis Belon of Mingo Jct, Sharon Roe of Mingo Jct, Diane Pernick (Fred) of Mingo Jct, Holly Bezak (Sam) of Mingo Jct and Fhonda "Kelly" Riddle (Chris) of Kentucky.
