She is survived by: her husband Elza Alonzo "Lonnie" Bates, Jr.; her children, Rodney Walker, Brian Bates, Jason Bates, Sarah Bookwalter and Sherry Dotson; and her siblings, Eugene Ice, Kenneth Ice, Christine Dye, Yorkies, Sammy and Billy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
