He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Stella Smith; his wife Louetta "Marie" Adams; his adoptive mother Amanda Adams; and his siblings, Nathan Creed Adams, Elsie I Graham, Leo Howard Adams, Clarence Adams, Jr. and Eleanor Adams.
He is survived by: his children, Brian "Keith" Adams (Stacey), Travis Lee Adams (Amy) and Wendy Mae Smith (George); his grandchildren, Ashley Leach (Matthew), Daizey, Jorgia Smith, Haley, Noah and Jonah Adams; his stepgrandchildren, Melita, Nathanael, Anna Freytag and Trista Freytag Varela; and his great grandchildren, Leo Michael and Avery James Leach.
