He is survived by: his wife Wilma Blanchard McDaniel; his children, Gilles McDaniel Jr., Michael McDaniel (Stacey) and Samantha McDaniel; his stepchildren, John Lambert and Amanda Helton; his grandchildren, Lindsay, Destiny, Zach, Colby, Amber, Jade (Leddon), Jaimie, Kylie (Rylan), Jayna, Derek (Amber), Nick (Maria) and Josh; and his sister Joyce Burress.
