He was predeceased by: his parents, Verdie Roston Miller and Maude Ethel Miller (Hines); and his brothers, Cleo Miller, Harry Wendell Miller, Waldo Clermont Miller and Sylvester Paul "Jack" Miller.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy Holt Miller (Rebecca) of Alamogordo, NM and Patricia Anne Sorrell of New Concord. He is also survived by three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
