He was predeceased by: his son Aaron Torrence; his brothers, Glen Torrence of Wooster and Roger Torrence (Nuge) of Wooster; and his brother-in-law Carl Cox of Wooster. He is survived by: his son Richard Torrence of Big Prairie; his grandchildren, Dylan Torrence, Damion Torrence and Mattie Torrence; and his siblings, Louis Torrence of Wooster, Joyce Bair of Logan and Beulena (Boots) of Wooster. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
