He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Omer and Dorothy Hess (Randolph); his children, Janet (Herb Werstler), Barb (Don Shaum), Richard (Elaine Hess) and Roger (Debra Hess); his grandchildren, Michael Werstler (Mindy), Melissa Rupp (Matt), Christopher Shaum (Jody), Allison Curtis, Matt Hess (Amanda) and Zac Hess (Sarah); and also, Eldred Hess (Judy) of Wooster and Don Hess (Donna) of Clinton. He was also cherished by 12 great-grandchildren a great-great-grandson.
