He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence T. Johnson and Charlotta "Lottie" Johnson (Luckett); his daughter Kim Johnson; his daughter-in-law Debbie Bayless; and his grandson Dorado Bayless.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl A. "Tykie" Johnson (Jenkins); his children, Julius Bayless, Karen Johnson, David Johnson, Shelan Jackson (Robert), Sherman A. Johnson, Jr., Stephani Maynard and Donald "Donnie" Johnson; his grandchildren, RoShawn Bayless, Jeremy Bayless, Tony Johnson, Tasha Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Tim Tyus, Kara Porter (Laiven), Ciara Jackson, RaHeem Johnson, Kendra Maynard, Kaylee Chapman, Donovan Johnson, Macie Johnson and Myles Johnson; his siblings, Reggie Johnson, Evelyn "Ebbie" Johnson, India Sims, Bertha Johnson and Becky Johnson; and his close friends, Bishop Melvin Maughmer, Sr., Harold Beverly and Larry Grant, Sr.. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Alzheimer's Association, or to Haller Funeral Home to help with expenses.
