He was predeceased by: his father Edgar Greene. He is survived by: his mother Kathryn Louise Barcus Costen; his wife Sandy Pratt Greene; his daughters, Sherri Shriver (Jason) of Gallipolis, Stacy Harden (D. J.) of Oak Hill and Jami Turner (Jay) of Oak Hill; his stepdaughters, Lola Dawson (Cary) of Albany Ohio, Shelly Kemper (Mark Browning) of Bidwell and Holly Gillman (Tony) of Vinton; and his siblings, Linda Lou Atkins (Ronnie) of Luttrell, Brenda Sue Gordon (Steve) of Warfordsburg and William Edward Greene (Kathy) of Gallipolis Ferry. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren with their spouses and 18 great-grandchildren.
