He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank and Sadie Cox Day; his wife Clara Grover Day; and his siblings, Monica Geraldine Day and James Clyde Day.

He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Day (Julia) of Bidwell, Patrick Day of Bidwell and Daniel Day (LaDonna) of Bidwell; his grandchildren, Mallori Spurlock (Chris), Kevin Michael Day (Shelly), Kassandra Day, Justin Day and Gage Day; and his stepgrandchildren, Ashley McCabe and Kylie Reagor. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
